Method:
The synthesis of
(2R)-2-{bis[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl][(trimethylsilyl)oxy]methyl}pyrrolidine is usually accomplished in a two-step reaction. The first step is the reaction of (2R)-2-ethoxycarbonyl-1-pyrrole boronate with 3,5-ditrifluoromethylphenylboronate to give (2R)-2-ethoxycarbonyl-1-[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]pyrrolidine. The second step is to react the resulting product with chloromethyltrimethylsilane to give the final product.
